Insurance, Tornadoes Share Points In Minna

…Players Pelted

Bendel Insurance fc of Benin, Sunday picked another away point after playing a goalless draw with Niger Tornadoes at the Alhaji Bako Kontagora Memorial stadium in Minna, Niger State capital.

Insurance had picked a point in their first game away to Remo Stars after a one all draw at Sagamu. The Benin Arsenal looked pretty better than their host on the day, Tornadoes who wasted a spot kick against their visitors in the tenth minutes into the game with their nervous players losing possessions repeatedly,

The centre referee Dahiru Yakasai had awarded the host penalty kick after the ball had touched Michael Enaruna’s hand inside Insurance box. The hopeless situation provoked their fans bitter reactions as they expressed their frustration by hauling stones, water cans and dangerous objects onto the pitch indiscriminately, injuring Insurance striker Emmanuel Uang.

It was another show of shame by the fans that got Tornadoes Coach scampering for safety before the end of the match.
