Nigeria National League (NNL) side, Inter Lagos emerged crowned champions of 2025 Lagos State Football Association (LSFA) President Federation Cup after beating their more illustrious opponent, Ikorodu City 5-4 on penalties in the final played Sunday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena (Onikan).
The well attended game shockingly produced two new champions with Inter Lagos as winners for male while Dannaz Ladies won that of the female both for the first time in their history.
The full time result was 0-0 after 90 minutes in the male category while Dannaz Ladies edged Unification Ladies through a second half penalty 1-0 in the female final match. The goal was by Omotoke Ogunfunwa.

Dannaz won the title after Unification Ladies ended the 14 years dominance by FC Robo when they defeated them in the semi final via penalties.
However, all the finalists in both categories will represent the state at the national level of the competition.
Speaking after the matches, the coaches of both Inter Lagos and Dannaz Ladies expressed delight over their victories. While the LSFA chairman, Hajj Liameed Gafar is optimistic the teams will represent the state well given the standard of both finals.
“I’m not surprised with the outcome of the matches, Gafar said.
“The FA Cup is noted for surprises which is what played out again today.
“I’m optimistic that Lagos will enjoy a very good representation by these teams and hopefully one of them can go all the way to win at the national”, Gafar opined.
