International Women’s Day: NFF Celebrates Super Falcons

The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) on Wednesday morning paid tribute to the amazing work of the Nigeria senior women national team.

The NFF on its official Twitter handle wrote:” Happy International women’s day! @NGSuper_Falcons #SoarSuperFalcons https://t.co/q2sWPqVBft ”

The team is by far Africa’s most successful international women’s football team winning a record eleven Women’s Africa Cup of Nations titles, with their most recent title in 2018, after defeating South Africa in the final. The team is also the only women’s national team from the Confederation of African Football to have reached the quarterfinals in both the FIFA Women’s World Cup and Football at the Summer Olympics.

The Federation commemorates the women’s national team for their outstanding role in global development.

International Women’s Day is day set aside to globally celebrate women on every March 8 of every year and pay tribute for the movement for women’s rights in the world.
