AFCON winning coach Emerse Fae has been confirmed as permanent coach of Elephants of Cote d Ivoire. Emerse Fae was put in charge following the sacking of Jean-Louis Gasset midway into championship.
Fae however made it all the way to the final where he clinched the trophy at the expense of Super Eagles. The Elephants were considered the luckiest team in the competition after they almost survived a crash out in the group stage of the tournament but got back into competition as lucky losers before increasing the momentum that earned them glory.
