Alex iwobi insists having to readjust to a new role is not a problem for him after he was moved out wide by new boss, Sean Dyche from the central role he played under Frank Lampard.
The Nigerian will be expected to play the same role for the second straight game under Dyche when Everton face Liverpool in the 242nd Merseyside derby on Monday.
The Super Eagle did well in that ‘new’ role against Arsenal as the Toffees pipped the league leaders 1-0 at Goodison Park.
“Where I am fortunate is that I have had different positions to adapt to,” he added.
“I have played everywhere since I was a kid, bar centre-back, so no matter what role I have been asked to play I have learned and adapted quickly.
“Sometimes I haven’t even known where I am going to playing even in training. I’m back out wide with this manager but wherever he wants me to play I will try.
“At the end of the day, it’s for the team to get the best results. It doesn’t faze me too much.”
Iwobi’s sees Monday’s game at Anfield as an opportunity for the Toffees to make it back to back wins for only the second time this season and the Nigeria had a goal involvement in each.
“Even though Liverpool aren’t doing too well at the moment and neither are we so it’s another game that if we make a statement there we can push on again,” he said.
