Iwobi Relishes ‘Early Christmas’ Goal

Arsenal attacker, Alex Iwobi is relishing his goal in Saturday’s 3-1 spanking of Burnley, and went on to describe it as an early Christmas gift to The Gunners fans.

While also acknowledging how Arsenal fans and well-wishers that encouraged him to bounce back from a recent dip in form, Iwobi is now looking forward to a huge impact across the busy festive period.

The Super Eagles star will be back in action with his teammates at the London-based club on Wednesday, as Boxing Day thrills shake England.

Arsenal will tango Leon Aderemi Balogun’s Brighton & Hove Albion, with Iwobi keen on helping his side climb higher than their current fifth spot on the table with 37 points from 18 matches.

Iwobi took to social media to celebrate his goal for Arsenal, which was the side’s third on the evening at Emirates Stadium and his second of the season in the English Premier League.

After stepping off the bench to hit the bull’s eye in added time, The Gunners’ former under-21 team captain declared that his goal was a special way to start the yuletide bliss, and posted: “Early Christmas.”
