Remarkably, the teams kept strictly to the timeline of the organisers, as the first game of matchday one started by 7am, with 36 Lion FC claiming the scalps of Ikorodu City with a 2-0 win.

In the second game of the day, FC Bethel and Broad City shared spoils in a 1-1 draw. The next game produced five goals as SGFC defeated Ijebu United 3-2. While it was an imperious outing for Imperial FC who trashed Dino FC 3-0.

Matchday two continues tomorrow at the same venue, with four matches lined up.
