John Ogu Explains Osimhen’s Outburst Against Finidi George

Date:

Former Super Eagles midfielder John Ogu believes Victor Osimhen has likely apologized to former head coach Finidi George following a contentious incident on Instagram.

Osimhen had strongly criticized Finidi after misinformation surfaced suggesting the coach had made dismissive remarks about playing for Nigeria.

The Napoli striker’s absence from recent international fixtures has raised eyebrows, but Ogu, speaking on the Fans Tribe Podcast, offered insights into Osimhen’s character and the context behind his outburst.

“I know Osimhen, even from his under-17 days, he has always been respectful,” Ogu explained. “When someone accuses you falsely, sometimes you can lose control. Some people need to speak out to clear their minds. He did that.”

Ogu indicated his belief that Osimhen has since expressed regret for his actions, suggesting, “Has he apologized? I am sure he has.”
