This is are Hoffenheim and Gladbach identified the fast-rising midfielder among their potential Deadline Day signings.
Onomah has 25 appearances in the first team at Spurs, but the 21-year-old has spent the last 18 months on loan at Aston Villa and now Sheffield Wednesday in the English Championship.
Onomah has made a total of 11 outings for Wednesday in the current campaign, but a bout with injury hindered his progress at Hillsborough.
