Eyewitnesses said Ewhrudjakpo was taken to the Federal Medical Centre, Yenagoa, for urgent medical attention. Efforts to independently confirm this were unsuccessful, as the hospital’s Public Relations Officer, Ben Akpedi, did not respond to calls.

When contacted, the Deputy Governor’s media aide, Doubara Atasi, confirmed the incident but declined to provide further details. “Yes,” Atasi said, before ending the call abruptly.

No official statement has yet been released regarding Ewhrudjakpo’s condition.
