Super Eagles Captain Ahmed Musa and his Turkish club Fatih Karagumruk have gone their separate ways after the club decided to terminate the contract.
Fatih Karagumuruk announced the termination of Musa’s contract on their official website on Friday.
“We have parted ways by mutual agreement with professional football player Ahmed Musa, who was included in our squad in the 2021-22 season,”reads the statement.
“We would like to thank Ahmed Musa for his services to our club and wish him success in his future football career. ”
The 29-year-old joined Fatih Karagumruk as a free agent last summer.
Recall that Musa was also released by Saudi Arabia Professional League club, Al Nassr before the end of his contract. He has made three league appearances for Fatih Karagumuruk.
The former CSKA Moscow ace who has ruled out retirement from international football for now, joined Kano Pillars briefly after leaving Al Nassr before the move to Fatih Karagumruk.
There are strong indications that his impressive run on a good day can still fetch him a new club where he will continue to enjoy the game that has brought him fame and fortune.
Musa who was part of the last Nations Cup in Cameroon is still holding his own in the national team even as the team looks forward to a better outing at the next Nations Cup to be hosted by Cote D Ivoire next year.
The Eagles missed a ticket to the forth coming World Cup in Qatar and would have to follow the Mundial from afar.
