Kaio Jorge to leave Juve for Cruzeiro, family friend claims

Date:

Kaio Jorge is set to leave Juventus in March in order to join Brazilian side Cruzeiro, a source close to the player has revealed.

The talented forward joined the Old Lady in August 2021 from Santos in a deal worth around €5.4m total and made a handful of appearances for the first team before suffering a patellar tendon injury in his knee back in February 2022, forcing him to the sidelines for around a year.

Mauro Motta, a family friend of Kaio Jorge, told Momento Esportivo that the 21-year-old forward will be leaving Juventus in March after agreeing to sign for Cruzeiro. When owner Ronaldo was asked about the transfer, he did not deny the possibility of a deal, simply wishing him well for his recovery.

It’s still unclear what Kaio Jorge’s move to Cruzeiro will look like, either a loan deal or definitive transfer. He is contracted to Juventus until June 2026.
