The Kano State government has relieved the interim management committee of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) club, Kano Pillars, of their duties.
State Commissioner for Youths and Sports, Mustpaha Rabiu Kwankwaso, cited the expiration of their tenure as the reason for their dismissal in a statement.
Kwankwaso instructed the outgoing management to promptly hand over the club’s affairs to the most senior civil servant associated with Kano Pillars.

He expressed gratitude to the board members for their contributions to the club, the people of Kano, and the broader football community.
The dismissed management team, led by Alhaji Babangida Umar Little, had recently appointed Paul Offor as the new technical adviser ahead of the upcoming 2024-25 NPFL season, set to kick off in August.
