Kwara United chief thankful as club escape relegation from NPFL

Kwara United chairman, Kumbi Titiloye was relieved to see the club escape relegation in the Nigeria Premier Football League this season.

The Harmony Boys cemented their top-flight status following a hard-fought 1-0 home win against Nasarawa United on Sunday.

Ibrahim Yahaya scored the decisive goal eight minutes from time.

Nasarawa United were relegated to the Nigeria National League (NNL) following the defeat.

It ended the Solid Miners’ 10-year stay in the Nigerian top flight.

“To God be the glory, because, what we faced this season, I would never wish it for my enemy. And it has taught me a lot of things about life. But we thank God and take the positives from the whole scenario. It’s not something for the public”, Titiloye told the club’s media.
