Kwara United’s Coach Laments NPFL Uncertainty

Kwara United of Ilorin coach, Abubakar Bala has admitted he is troubled by the continued uncertainty over the kick-off date for the new Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) season.

Although he is currently on national team assignment, as assistant coach of the Flying Eagles, Bala said he still has to think about what is happening in the league.

Bala stated that uncertainty over the definite commencement date and number of teams to play in the top-flight next season will affects coaches in terms of planning.

Bala stressed: “The kick off date and competition format are key features in team preparation and planning for a season without which preparation in uncertain circumstances turns to planning blindly.”
