The city of Lagos came alive today as the highly anticipated Lagos Masters Tournament 3.0 officially kicked off, bringing together top academies, scouts, and football executives from across Europe and Africa.

From the opening whistle, the atmosphere was electric, with teams showcasing exceptional skill, tactical discipline, and raw talent that kept fans and scouts on the edge of their seats. The Lagos Masters, now in its third edition, has once again proven to be a breeding ground for discovering the next generation of African football stars.

Among the distinguished international guests in attendance were Oleksandr Chaban, Director of LNZ Cherkasy (Ukraine); Oleksiy Snizhko, Chief Scout of LNZ Cherkasy; and Viktor Bytsyura, Head Scout of FC Oleksandriya, Ukraine. Their presence underscores the growing global attention the Lagos Masters continues to attract.

Speaking at the opening ceremony, Ikechukwu Jude, CEO of Blessed Generation Sports Management and the main organizer of the event, expressed his excitement at the level of participation and competition this year.

“Each edition gets better and bigger. The quality of football we’ve seen today shows that Nigeria remains a goldmine of young football talent ready to make their mark in Europe and beyond,” Jude said.

The tournament will run for several days, featuring top youth teams from across Nigeria battling for recognition and potential professional opportunities.
