Real Madrid boss, Carlo Ancelotti has has said that it was Eden Hazard’s fault that the Belgian could not make any impact during their Sunday La Liga game.
The Belgium international was selected up front for Real Madrid’s game against Mallorca with Karim Benzema injured.
However, the former Chelsea star struggled to make an impact, coming off with his side drawing 1-1.
Real Madrid scored three more goals to win the game 4-1 without Hazard.
“It’s better to use Rodrygo as a nine with Valverde rather than just Hazard,” Ancelotti told reporters after the game.
“We had difficulties not because Hazard was there, but because the other positions weren’t occupied by the others. Hazard can play centre-forward.”
Hazard performed well in Madrid’s 3-0 win over Celtic in the Champions League on Tuesday, scoring in the 77th minute after replacing Benzema.
