LaLiga: Villarreal coach Emery happy with clean sheet for victory over Elche

Date:

Villarreal coach, Unai Emery was happy with victory over Elche.

The Yellow Submarine scored four goals to win 4-0 on Sunday. Gerard Moreno, Giovani Lo Celso, Francis Coquelin and Jose Luis Morales struck for the hosts.

Emery said, “We are demanding to find a regularity that we didn’t find last year. It was a huge challenge to see how we responded. We have done it at a very high level. Today was another challenge and it was to win the first game at home after not doing it in recent years.

“Everything is coming out within a very responsible block. Victory is very nice. I liked the match over the 90 minutes.

“We are trying to have continuity trying to find and feel stronger to take control with and without the ball. In addition, we are capable of respecting the rival when they demand that we defend more. That leads us to have a clean sheet. What I like the most is that.

“I like to score goals. We have played a game to get a result to be sure of the score. Not conceding a goal is the joy of goalkeepers.”
