Leicester City manager, Brendan Rodgers wants the club to sign winger Ademola Lookman on a permanent deal.
Lookman linked up with the Foxes on a season-long loan deal from Bundesliga club RB Leipzig last summer.
The Nigeria international has made a big impression at the King Power Stadium despite the presence of other quality wingers at the club.
The 24-year-old has scored eight goals and provided five assists in 40 appearances across all competitions for the former Premier League champions this season.
The Telegraph reported on Wednesday that Leicester City are looking to complete a £14m deal to sign Lookman.
Rodgers has now come out publicly to confirm the report with Lookman’s loan deal set to expire on June 30.
“We will discuss this in the coming weeks and if it’s possible, I would love to do that,” Rodgers told a press conference ahead of his side’s Premier League clash against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Two Nigerians, Wilfred Ndidi and Kelechi Iheanacho, are already members of the Leicester City squad.
