Ligue 1: Simon inspires Nantes’ to victory over Toulouse with goal, assist

Super Eagles winger, Moses Simon was on target and also bagged an assist as Nantes’ rallied back to beat Toulouse 3-1 in their Ligue 1 clash on Sunday afternoon.

The visitors took the lead in 15 minutes, with Zakaria Aboukhkal firing the ball into the net.

Simon led the fight back, setting up Evann Guessand for the equalising goal five minutes after the break.

Egypt international Mostafa Mohamed gave Nantes the lead for the first time in the game in the 55th minute.

Simon then put the game beyond the visitors by adding the third a minute after the hour mark.

The 27-year-old has now scored two goals and recorded one assist in four league appearances for the Canaries this season.

Nantes will travel away to Strasbourg for their next league game on Wednesday.
