Ligue1: Messi, Neymar, others get fresh ban at PSG

Date:

Paris Saint-Germain new manager, Christophe Galtier has banned the club’s stars like Lionel Messi, Kylian Mbappe and Neymar from using their mobile phones in the club’s canteen.

According to Marca, this is part of strict rules to return discipline to the club under the new regime.

The Ligue1 giants suffered a disappointing season in the Champions League last campaign and this led to the sack of Mauricio Pochettino. He was replaced with Christophe Galtier.

PSG are currently in Japan preparing for the forthcoming season and are getting to grips with their new coach’s methods and way of working.

And now Marca reports that Galtier has stopped the use of phones while players are having breakfast and lunch in a bid to bring the squad closer and bring about more unity.

The manager has also directed all players to have their meals together at the club’s Camp des Loges and this is to avoid any cliques emerging.

Also the players will not report to training by anything more than 8:30 and 8:45 and will be sent home for lateness without a valid and reasonable explanation.
