Lagos state football association (LSFA) Chairman, Hajj Gafar Liameed has reiterated his administration’s commitment to keep supporting female football and football generally in the state.
He made this disclosure during the inaugural edition of Ibidoyin Aina Cup, a female football tournament held at the weekend to mark the birthday of Ibidoyin Aina, who is an advocate and a female football crusader.
According to Gafar, LSFA is already investing hugely in infrastructures which will ensure that the pain Lagos based team go through in that regard is ameliorated.
“LSFA will keep supporting female football and football in total in the state.
“My presence here in person is a testament to that fact.
“They have been a lot of female football activities by the FA in the state to try and bridge the gap that exists between the male and female football.
“But again the FA is already investing massively in infrastructures across the state to ensure that more playing facilities and stadia are made available for Lagos based teams, he said.
The 36 Lion proprietor why reacting to the question about training the trainers noted that the FA has entered an arrangement or agreement with National Institute of Sports (NIS) to effectively deal with that.
“We have an existing agreement with NIS for the training of our coaches to ensure they’re up to date with the modern game”, he concluded.
