Luis Enrique has been earmarked as the successor to Graham Potter should Chelsea decide to part ways with their underfire manager, according to reports.

The Blues have managed just one victory in 2023, and have not secured an away win since October last year.

Enrique is linked with replacing Potter at Chelsea

Potters retains the backing of owner Todd Boehly, for now, despite Chelsea’s 2-0 defeat against Tottenham on Sunday.

The ex-Brighton boss has also endured a six-game winless run, with one win in 11 matches, and just nine victories in his 26 games at the helm.

Fans have called out the manager to be sacked, with their side languishing in 10th, lacking any form of attacking threat, and their defensive frailties there to see.

The club may turn to Enrique as the man to potentially turn their fortunes around, and get them firing on all fronts again.

According to SPORT, the Spaniard has been eyed as a successor to Potter despite his World Cup failings after being sacked by Spain.

The reports adds the Asturian-born coach has turned down the opportunity to manage the Brazil national team, suggesting his next role could be at Stamford Bridge.

One player who has recently been linked with a move to Chelsea is Paris Saint-Germain star Neymar.

The Brazil international worked under Enrique for four years at Barcelona, thriving under the ex-Barca coach before leaving for PSG.

Zinedine Zidane is another name being touted as a potential frontrunner for the Chelsea role, with the 50-year-old out of work since leaving Real Madrid at the end of the 2020/21 campaign.

Chelsea may offer the Frenchman a route back into the game, but it does remain to be seen who the club to turn too, should Potter’s days finally be outnumbered.
