Man City vs Man United: ‘I’m not going to cry’ – Guardiola names players to miss EPL derby

Manchester City boss, Pep Guardiola, has named the players that will miss his side’s Premier League derby against Manchester United on Sunday.

Man City will host Man United at home at the Etihad Stadium.

Guardiola’s men head to the game following a 2-0 victory over Peterborough in the FA Cup on Tuesday.

Speaking at his pre-match press conference on Friday, Guardiola confirmed that Man City would be without Ruben Diaz and Nathan Ake for the derby on Sunday due to injury.

“Nathan and Ruben are not available for Sunday,“ Guardiola said.

Asked if it was a big loss, Guardiola replied: “Yeah, but it happens during a season.

“One of our best players, Kevin De Bruyne, was out for eight or nine months.

“I am not going to cry. We have two central defenders, but it is what it is.”

The kick-off time for Man City vs Man United is 5.30 pm.

Man City currently sits on top of the Premier League table with 66 points from 27 games.
