Manchester United are keeping close tabs on Everton’s Jarrad Branthwaite and Nice’s Jean-Clair Todibo as the club look to strengthen their centre-back position under manager Erik ten Hag.
Man United find themselves down in seventh position in the Premier League table after an inauspicious start to the campaign under Ten Hag.
The Red Devils also crashed out of the Champions League at the group stage last month.
According to The Evening Standard, Man United will prioritise signing a centre-forward of the level of Bayern Munich’s Harry Kane to support Rasmus Hojlund, who has managed just two league goals since joining the Old Trafford club from Atalanta.

The report added that Man United are also keen to bring in a top-class No.8 in the middle of the park, as well as reinforcements at right-back and in central defence.
It is claimed Branthwaite and Todibo have been added to Man United’s shortlist of possible targets at centre-back.
Ten Hag’s side expect to face stiff competition for both players should they step up their interest this January transfer window.
