Manchester United legend, Gary Neville, has urged the club’s owners, the Glazer family, to sell the Red Devils again after previously criticising the current state of Old Trafford.
Neville said this while reacting to Real Madrid’s latest video highlighting the progress being made on the Santiago Bernabeu redevelopment.
Real Madrid released a video on Monday alongside the caption ‘spectacular’ as they gave fans an update on the work being done at the club’s home ground.
The clip, which lasted more than six minutes, disclosed that significant progress has been made on Real Madrid’s museum and the stadium roof, while the new turf on the pitch has been laid, with it due to be used for the Los Blancos’ first home game of the season against Real Betis on Saturday.
Neville was clearly impressed and tweeted his response to the video where he appeared to suggest that the redevelopment work at the Santiago Bernabeu was an indication of Man United falling further behind their European rivals.
“To Joel and Avram. Stop delaying the inevitable and sell now,” Neville posted on Twitter.
Neville, who recently urged the Glazer family to sell Man United, has been damning in his analysis of the Red Devils on the pitch in recent months after their disappointing sixth-place finish last season.
