Manu Garba Sets Brazil 2019 Plan In Motion

Nigeria’s cadet national team, Golden Eaglets’ coach, Manu Garba has set in motion his plans for this year’s FIFA U-17 World Cup in Brazil, by throwing his camp open to 52 players.

Among the invitees is Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) top scorer, Sunusi Ibrahim, who is said to be currently in European hunting round for a club, but Garba will continue working with those who arrived on Tuesday, as he steps up preparations for the competition, which is scheduled to hold from October 26th to November 17th.

Manu said the squad will not relax on their achievements so far, but said he is happy leading the Eaglets to pick a ticket to the 2019 championship in The Samba Nation after finishing third in April at the Africa U17 Cup of Nations in Tanzania.

After instructing his players to arrive at Serob Legacy Hotel, Abuja on Tuesday, the winning coach of the 2013 Cadet Mundial in United Arab Emirates in 2013, said he wants to reenact that feat in The Middle East, which was Nigeria’s fourth title in the global championship.
