The nationwide league body earlier today announced a 964 million naira sponsorship deal with New Year Mega lottery for four seasons and also unveils, Sofascore, Naemosports and Sports Meet tech as technical partners.
The collaboration between NLO and New year mega lottery is intended to effectively promote and elevate grassroots football in the country.
In his speech chairman of NLO, Silas Agara stated that the leadership of Nigeria football federation charged all league bodies to brand their leagues and to also bring in cooperate bodies into the league. Which was the reason NLO went all out to poach sponsors. From day one NLO have set the ball rolling.
Last season we had MTN and some cooperate bodies that partnered with us. And this season an indigenous company (New Year Mega lottery) have agreed to partner with us this season .
I see a better four years working relationship with the company and I am quite comfortable with the contract as well as the experienced management team.
In their response the management of New year Mega Lottery headed by Mr Sunday Adeleye, said the aim of the partnership was to alleviate poverty in Nigeria via skill acquisition, development in sports such as we just partnered with NLO which unites Nigeria youths. It is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that the New Year Mega lottery has decided to sponsor the Nation wide League with the mega sum of #964 million naira. Which will span over four years.
