Milan star Rafael Leão has now signed a new deal at the club and he will now be expected to stay at the Rossoneri till the summer of 2028.
Milan have now confirmed that the deal is done and signed by the Portuguese. There were initial doubts about his long-term stay at the club last summer and the likes of Chelsea and Manchester United were linked with him. The legal situation involving him and Sporting was another thing that causing hold-up regarding his future.
But Lille have now agreed to pay the compensation to Sporting and that brought about a breakthrough in the saga. Rafael Leão also made a vital decision to stay at the club, rejecting interest from Chelsea.
He arrived at the club’s headquarters earlier today and fans were outside the Milanello to welcome him, with the winger now set to stay in the long-term. His contract is said to have a clause of over €150 million.
