Flamingos head coach, Bankole Olowookere, emphasized the need for his team to put in more effort despite their dominant 3-1 victory over South Africa.
Olowookere’s side triumphed over the hosts at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria on Saturday, putting them in a strong position to advance to the final qualifying round.
However, the coach is expecting a tougher challenge from the Bantwana in the second leg.
“While we achieved a good result, there are areas we need to improve before the next game, as I am confident South Africa will also raise their level,” Olowookere said, as quoted by safa.net.
Nigeria will host the second leg at the Remo Stars Stadium in Ikenne next Saturday.
