Moses knocked out for 6-months by Achilles Tendon Injury

Former Super Eagles ace and Spartak Moscow winger Victor Moses has been ruled out for six months, due to a achilles tendon injury, the Russian Premier League confirmed Monday.

Moses suffered the injury in Spartak Moscow’s 2-0 away win against Ural on Saturday.

The 31-year-old, who was stretchered off the pitch in the 32nd minute left the stadium in crutches.

“Spartak midfielder Victor Moses, who was injured in the RPL 4th round match in Yekaterinburg, underwent a medical examination,”reads a statement on the club’s website.

“The Nigerian has been diagnosed with an Achilles tendon injury. The player will have to undergo surgery. It will take about six months to recover from the injury.

“We wish Viktor a speedy return to the field!”.Moses has scored two goals in three league appearances for Spartak Moscow this season. The former Chelsea and Wigan Athletic ace who joined Spartak Moscow in July 2021 has made 38 apperances for the Russian side with four goals to his credit
