Moses Marvels Over Passion For Soccer In Turkey

Fernebahce of Turkey January signing, Victor Moses has confessed that he is amazed at the high level of passion being shown for football in the country, where he is bound to play on loan from Chelsea for 18 months.

Less than a month into his sojourn in Istanbul, Moses is already beaming with delight, as he is relishing the aura of passion in the Turkish Super Lig and the atmosphere he is enjoying at Fernebahce.

Moses, who had previously played on loan at Liverpool, Stoke City and West Ham United, stressed that he is happy that he accepted the deal to join Ferne, which has a long history of signing Nigerian players.

Among them are Austin Okocha, Uche Okechukwu, Joseph Yobo and Emmanuel Emenike, the last of which Moses said he spoke with about what to expect at The Yellow Canaries before accepting their offer.

Moses has now served a strong hint that what Emenike told him is all through about Fernebahce and Turkey as a whole, considering that he has received massive backing to settle down fast and resurrect his career.

After two matches as substitute, Moses already has a goal to show in the LIg, such that he is being tipped for a starting shirt this weekend against Kayserispor, ahead of which the former Crystal Palace and Wigan Athletic winger says he is yearning to explode once again.

Heading into Friday’s away fixture, which will be his third match in The Land of The Ottoman, Moses added that he has equally been impressed by the quality on offer in the Turkish Super Lig.

Moses beamed with delight, saying: ”To be clear, Super Lig is a big league. I watched videos about the Super League.

“Everyone is very passionate (about football). They love football in this country. Everybody is talking about football players.

“I actually talked to a few players before coming here. It was a very good experience. I even talked to Nigerian players, like Emmanuel Emenike.

“They talked positively about the club. The history of the club is excellent and I’m happy to be here.”
