Jose Mourinho is in ‘advanced talks’ to become Paris Saint-Germain’s next manager.
The Portuguese coach is currently plying his trade at Roma, but there is some uncertainty about his future at the club with negotiations over his existing contract, which expires in 2024 and is yet to be confirmed.But according to RMC SportsPSG director “Luis Campos has spoken with the agent of the two-time Champions League winner about a possible arrival this summer.”
The Spanish outlet also reports that “negotiations are well advanced” between Campos and Mourinho’s agent Jorge Mendes, while also suggesting that the “Roma coach is also interested in PSG”.
After joining Roma in 2021, Mourinho led the club to a European trophy last season after they clinched the Europa Conference League title.
Roma are currently seventh in the standings. Mourinho’s side have won 17 and lost 10 of their 34 games this season, as well as not winning in their last four appearances.
Disagreements over transfers also erupted at the club, with Mourinho demanding the Serie A club bring in three new players as replacements for Tammy Abraham should the striker leave this summer.
Mail Sport further reports that Mourinho would be open to a sensational return to Chelsea amid frustrations over a lack of financial backing at Roma.
