Chelsea new signing Mykhailo Mudryk has explained why he picked the Blues over their London rivals Arsenal.
Mudryk was officially unveiled as a new Chelsea player on Sunday after putting pen to paper on an eight-and-a-half year contract worth over £85 million.
The Ukrainian international was linked with a move to Arsenal before Chelsea hijacked the deal.
And speaking after completing his move to the Blues, Mudryk told Chelsea website:“I’m so happy to sign for Chelsea. “This is a huge club, in a fantastic league and it is a very attractive project for me at this stage of my career.
He added that he cannot wait to begin his career with Chelsea.
“I’m excited to meet my new team-mates and I’m looking forward to working and learning under Graham Potter and his staff.”
Meanwhile, Chelsea bounced back to winning ways with a hard fought 1-0 win against Crystal Palace thanks to a Kai Havertz’s second half header.
