NBBF/Zenith Bank Women Basketball: First Bank and Customs Unbeaten as Phase One Concludes

The NBBF/Zenith Bank Women Basketball league’s Phase One has concluded with First Bank Women’s Basketball team and Customs Women’s Basketball team maintaining perfect records in their respective conferences.

First Bank dominated the Atlantic Conference, winning all their games at the Akure Township Stadium’s Indoor Sports Hall. Customs mirrored their success in the Savannah Conference, also finishing unbeaten and advancing confidently to Phase Two.

In the final round of Phase One, MFM Women’s Basketball team narrowly lost to First Bank 52-51, while Dolphins secured their fifth victory with a 52-41 win over Delta Force. Bayelsa Whales defeated First Deepwaters 44-31, and Sunshine Angels edged IGP Queens 37-35.

In Lafia, Customs defeated Air Warriors 67-47, Titans triumphed over Nasarawa Babes 83-25, and Royal Aces won against Kada Angels 86-56.

Phase Two of the season will take place in Enugu and Abuja from September 22 to 28, with the national finals scheduled for October 13 to 19 at the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos.
