Ndidi Gains Tip For Real Madrid Move From Carlo Ancelotti’s Admiration

Leicester City of England midfielder, Wilfred Onyinyen Ndidi has been tipped to gain a possible transfer to Real Madrid of Spain, based on affection he gained from former Everton gaffer, Carlo Ancelotti, who now handles the Spanish LaLiga side.

SportsDayOnline.com gathered that a report out of Spain indicated early Friday that Los Blancos have lined Ndidi up as a possible transfer option in the summer due to sweet words put in for him by Ancelotti.

The report adds that the technical brass at Madrid have also identified Ndidi as a very plausible and like-for-like replacement for Casemiro.

The 24-year-old Ndidi has been a key player for The Foxes since his arrival from Racing Genk of Belgium in January 2017, following which he has gone on to feature in 193 appearances across all competitions, including 17 outings during the ongoing campaign.

Interestingly, the English Premier League duo of Arsenal and Manchester United have previously been credited with interest in the Super Eagles’ star, who has a contract at the King Power Stadium until June 2024.

However, Madrid have now been rated as favourites to snatch him from King Power Stadium in the summer of 2022, as Los Blancos are looking for a long-term replacement for Casemiro, who could be allowed to join Chelsea of England.

Spanish tabloid, El Nacional added: “Real Madrid are the favourites to sign the midfielder amid suggestions that he is keen to leave the Foxes due to their struggles during the 2021-22 campaign.

“Real Madrid boss Carlo Ancelotti is believed to be a keen admirer of Ndidi, having watched the Nigerian on a regular basis during his time in charge of Everton.”
