Ndidi Makes Mimi Fawaz Happy With Interview

Leicester City of England midfielder, Wilfred Onyinyen Ndidi has left renowned presenter and compeer, Mimi Fawaz beaming with sheer delight, after the Super Eagles’ star granted her an interview at the start of this week.

Although Fawaz is celebrated worldwide for her contributions to sports coverage on television and was selected as co-anchor of the 2016 Confederation of African Football (CAF) awards, she disclosed that she took so much pleasure in the opportunity to interview Ndidi.

Fawaz, who shot to limelight as the presenter of Sports 360 on Vox Africa, and cited as a driving force behind UK’s first original African football show, has a Nigerian mother, from Asaba, and a Lebanese father, with the graduate of City University of London also having previously worked for CNN, ESPN and ITV Television.

Fawaz took to social media to reveal her delight with the Ndidi interview, while also praising him as a role model for young players looking for golden fleece, and ended with a prayer that the former Racing Genk of Belgium midfielder will continue getting the best of his career.

She wrote via her verified handle @MimosaFawaz: “Thanks so much @Ndidi25 for taking the time to speak to me. Really appreciate it. Great role model for many aspiring footballers & all the best for your future endeavours on & off the field.”
