Ndidi Sets Top-3 Target For Leicester City

Leicester City of England midfielder, Wilfred Onyinyen Ndidi has declared that his club have the potentials and quality to reach a top-three spot this season in the English Premier League, or get a worst possible scenario of ending among the big-six at the end of the campaign.

With The Foxes basking in the euphoria of their unbeaten run in the season’s first four matches, Ndidi, who returned to star in their 3-1 victory over Bournemouth last Saturday, after missing their previous two games due to a hamstring injury, stressed that the former champions are set to make history once again.

The former Racing Genk of Belgium midfielder, who has made three EPL appearances for the King Power Stadium outfit this term, insists Leicester can nick a European ticket this season, as he says they can end finish in the Premier League top six – if they continue with a consistent run of good performances all through the unfolding campaign.

He is already optimistic of a good result against Manchester United on September 14, after the international break, as he predicts that Brendan Rodgers’ side will make up for last term, when they narrowly missed at UEFA Europa League ticket, after ending in ninth place on the final log, behind Wolverhampton Wanderers and Everton.

The Super Eagles’ star, who played a key role in his side’s performances, helping The Foxes keep nine clean sheets in 38 league games, has now set a target for The Foxes and hopes that his side can surpass their performances of last season.

Ndidi told Sky Sports: “Top six? I would say top three [is possible] but we have to get the points out of the games before we can place ourselves at the top.”
