Newcastle United ran home a trio of second-half goals to end Nottingham Forest’s three-match winning run with a 3-1 victory at the City Ground on Sunday.
Forest conceded three goals for the first time this season as their defence could not withhold the firepower of Eddie Howe’s side, as Alexander Isak, Joelinton and Harvey Barnes all notched second-half goals to cancel out Murillo’s opener.
The defeat ended Forest’s impressive streak of three straight wins, but they remained in third place in the Premier League table ahead of Chelsea’s clash with Arsenal later on Sunday.

Murillo opened the scoring for the hosts, after getting the better of Joelinton in the air from Anthony Elanga’s flashed free-kick into the box.
But nine minutes after the half-time interval, Howe’s side restored parity against the Premier League’s second-sternest defence.
Isak was in the right place to poke home after Chris Wood and Sean Longstaff’s aerial battle from a corner fell invitingly for the Swedish forward.
The visitors breached Forest’s defence once again 18 minutes from time, as Joelinton raced towards the box before cutting inside on his left foot and unleashing an inch-perfect strike into the far corner.
Barnes wrapped up victory in the 83rd minute, capping off a fine counter-attack as he cut into the box and wormed an effort beyond Matz Sels just three minutes after being introduced as a substitute.
The former Leicester City forward’s strike was just the 10th goal Forest have conceded this season.
Newcastle rise to eighth, locked with five other teams on 18 points ahead of the later action.
