The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) has allocated N17.6 billion for its activities in the 2025 season, a budget approved by the organization’s Congress in Asaba, Delta State, on Friday.
According to sportsvillagesquare.com, this approved budget, equivalent to $10,591,610 at the current exchange rate, exceeds the N12 billion allocated for the Paris 2024 Olympics, where Nigeria did not secure any medals, as well as the Paralympic Games, where Team Nigeria achieved a total of nine medals, including five gold.

The NFF programme for next year includes the six remaining qualifying matches for the 2026 World Cup, the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, the Morocco 2025 Africa Cup of Nations as well as the African Nations Championship, CHAN which will be held in December and February respectively if the Super Eagles and CHAN Eagles qualify.
In addition to approving the budget, the Congress praised the achievements of Nigeria’s national teams, particularly the Super Eagles for their silver medal performance at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations and the Super Falcons for their return to the Women’s Olympic Football Tournament after 16 years.
The Congress also expressed a vote of confidence in the leadership of the Executive Committee, led by Alhaji Ibrahim Musa Gusau, for their continued efforts in promoting football development across Nigeria.
