Nigeria’s Super Eagles centre-back William Troost-Ekong expects a tough match against Angola in the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final clash this Friday.
The contest between Nigeria and Angola is set to take place in Abidjan at the Felix Houphouet Boigny Stadium.
Both nations secured their spots in the quarter-finals by defeating formidable opponents, with Nigeria overcoming Cameroon and Angola triumphing over Namibia in the round of 16.

Speaking ahead of the game, Ekong said: “We are preparing for the game the same way as we prepare for every game so far in this tournament.
“Angola looks like a very good team, we are going to have to play our best football to try and beat them.
“We are working very hard, you can see it today in the training. Everyone is trying to do the maximum and it is going to be difficult for the coach to select who is going to play.
“From here we are going to be very focused for the game on Friday,” he concluded.
