Nigeria vs Ghana: Black Stars to call up ex-Barcelona attacker against Super Eagles

Ghana are now considering calling up a former Barcelona star, Kevin-Prince Boateng for their World Cup playoff against Nigeria, as they are hit by shortage of attacking talents, according to Soccernet.

The 35-year-old Boateng resigned from the Ghanaian national team after the 2014 World Cup and has not kicked a ball for the Black Stars since then.

He dumped the Black Stars due to a fallout with the Ghanaian Football association.

The only options left for Ghana at this point in the attack are the Ayew brothers, who did not perform well at the last Africa Cup of Nations.

Ghanasoccernet reports that there could be subtle surprises when the Ghanaian FA release their list, and Boateng could be one of them.

While Nigeria has already announced their 25-man squad for the all-important clash, the Ghanaian FA have kept their squad list close to their chest.

Nigeria would face Ghana in Cape Coast stadium on the 26th, before welcoming them at the Moshood Abiola Stadium four days later.
