William Troost-Ekong, Semi Ajayi and Leon Balogun are among the first arrivals at the Super Eagles training camp in Abuja ahead of Nigeria’s 2022 FIFA World Cup playoff tie against the Black Stars of Ghana.
The likes of Brentford’s Frank Onyeka and former Chelsea star, Ola Aina are the other call-ups in Abuja.
Recall that there were injury doubts over Troost-Ekong after he suffered a muscle strain during Watford’s training.
However, the defender has since fully recovered in time for the crucial World Cup playoff against Ghana.
Super Eagles officials have said that the team will begin training as more players are due to fly in from their club sides overseas.
The Super Eagles will fly out to Ghana on Wednesday for the first-leg tie at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
The kick-off time is 8.30 pm, Nigerian time.
The Super Eagles will then host Ghana in the return leg four days later in Abuja.
