NOC Electoral Committee Releases Guidelines For Elections

The Electoral Committee of the Nigeria Olympic Committee (NOC), has released the guidelines for the forthcoming election into the board of the body responsible for co-ordinating and supporting Nigerian competitors in the Olympic and Commonwealth Games.

The Electoral Committee which is consisted of Lanre Glover, Ibrahim Galadima and Major General Dyeri announced that the nomination forms are available for collection from November 24th to 6th December, 2022. The forms can be collected by candidates physically from the NOC Secretariat at the National Stadium in Surulere, Lagos.

The forms can also be collected at the NOC Liaison Office inside the Association of National Olympic Committee of Africa (ANOCA), Katampe Road, Jahi, Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.

Also, the form can be requested for electronically or downloaded from the NOC WEBSITE: www.nigeriaolympic.org , while the return of nomination forms will be open from the hours of 11.00am to 3.00pm daily within the stipulated period.

The Electoral Committee further informed that if there is need to file in an appeal, the protest must be filed with the Appeals Committee within 24 hours of the election, and must be accompanied by the sum of Two Hundred and Fifty Thousand Naira (N250,000.00), being the appeal fee.

The fee is fully refundable if the appeal succeeds, but will be forfeited to the NOC if the appeal fails, but the appeal is only limited to the conduct of the election.

The NOC Elective Congress is slated for Jalingo, Taraba State on December 15th, 2022.
