NPFL: Ahmed Musa bags brace for Kano Pillars

Ahmed Musa netted both goals as Kano Pillars secured a 2-0 victory over Sunshine Stars in their Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) matchday five encounter on Sunday.

Musa opened the scoring just five minutes into the match.

The forward doubled the home team’s advantage six minutes after the break.

It was Sai Masu Gida’s first win in four league outings.

At the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium, Port Harcourt, Rivers United defeated Akwa United 2-1.

Stephen Manyo gave the hosts the lead on 32 minutes.

It was Manyo’s second goal of the season.

Friday Apollos equalised for Akwa United one minute after the break.

Rivers United got their winning goal through Ndifreke Effiong five minutes from time.
