NPFL-DOZY Tournament: 3SC To Receive N100m Prize Money On Monday – IMC

Shooting Stars Sporting Club of Ibadan (3SC), champions of NPFL-DOZY Super 4 tournament will on Monday, 19th December be presented with the cash prize of One hundred million naira (N100 million) in Abuja.

Shooting Stars last Friday at the Mobolaji Johnson Arena in Lagos defeated favourites, Enyimba 3-2 in the final of the competition to emerge champions. The announcement became necessary as 3SC announced that the sum of Fifty million and not One hundred million will be their share as champions. The club in a statement on their official Facebook page added that, though, One hundred million naira would be received from the orgainser, however, there was pre-tournament agreement between the four clubs for the eventual champions to share the prize money among all the four invited clubs. Rangers International and Bendel Insurance are other two Nigeria Professional Football League clubs that participated in the tournament.

“Yes, 3SC will receive their cash prize next Monday in Abuja. Chief Operating Officer of Interim Management Committee (IMC), Davidson Owumi told BSN Sports

“They will be paid their prize money of One hundred million naira in Abuja as promised by the sponsor.” He added.

The next edition of the competition will have eight top teams on the NPFL log participating.
