NPFL: Eguma Blames Fixture Congestion For Draw Against Abia Warriors

The technical adviser of the Nigeria Premier Football League champions, Rivers United Stanley Eguma has blamed their draw against Abia Warriors on fixture congestion.

The Pride of a champion on Sunday played a 1-1 draw against Abia Warriors in Port-Harcourt in match day 10 of the league.

Eguma said the wear and tear of the fixtures are telling on the team.

” It was a game of football, we ended up playing a 1-1 draw, I think it was a fair one but a difficult match for us.

The wear and tear of the fixtures are telling on the team, we didn’t play our normal game today.

We missed a lot of scoring chances, especially in the first half but thank God we were able to secure a draw”, he said.
