Following a string of poor performances, the head coach of Rangers International of Enugu Abdul Maikaba has called for the mutual termination of his contract with the club.
The Flying Antelopes are yet to secure a maximum 3points since the start of the 2023 league season and played out a 1-1 draw in the Matchday 3 game against Sunshine Stars on Sunday in Awka.
“We have worked so hard to improve the fortunes of Rangers but unfortunately, things are not going the way we plan and I will like before our next game if it is going to be possible to meet the representatives of the government of Enugu State to terminate my contract with Rangers.
I love this team, they’ve treated me so well, so if I’m the problem I will like to progress and if we can terminate with mutual consent I will be happy with that”, he said.
Rangers have adopted Awka City Stadium as their home ground since the Nnamdi Azikiwe stadium is under renovation.
