NPFL: Ogunbote seeks fans support as Shooting Stars host Akwa United

Date:

Shooting Stars head coach, Gbenga Ogunbote will be hoping to appease the Oluyole Warriors fans with a victory today when they entertain Akwa United at the Lekan Salami Adamasingba Stadium, Ibadan.

The former Remo Stars gaffer, who is in his second stint with the Ibadan-based side, has failed to hit the ground running this season as his side are yet to make meaningful impact this season.

3SC have failed to record a win in their last two games.

The impressive results has continue to raise doubt in the minds of their teaming supporters.

Akwa United are coming into this match day nine encounter with confidence having picked four points from maximum six in their last two encounters against El Kanemi Warriors and Gombe United respectively.

The last fixture between Oluyole Warriors and the Promise Keepers ended in a 1-1 draw with goals from Utibe Archibong and Ayo Adejubu on target for both teams.

Shooting Stars are in sixth position in the Group A table, with nine points from eight matches.

Akwa United sit in fourth position with 14 points from same number of matches.
