NPFL: Shooting Stars out to end Insurance unbeaten streak, Remo Stars host Plateau United

Date:

Gbenga Ogunbote’s Shooting Stars will look to do what six other clubs have failed to achieve this season, that is to inflict defeat on Bendel Insurance.

Bendel Insurance are the only team yet to taste defeat after six matchdays in the Nigeria Premier Football League this season.

The Benin Arsenals have won five and drawn one of their six games.

Monday Odigie’s side dropped points for the first time in the current campaign after they were held to a barrren draw at home last weekend by hard-fighting Gombe United.

Shooting Stars have struggled at the Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba Ibadan this term.

The Oluyole Warriors have won one and drawn two of their three home fixtures.

In another big fixture for the weekend, Remo Stars will entertain former champions, Plateau United in Ikenne.

The Sky Blue Stars, who occupy second position on the Group B log, have won all three home fixtures this season.

Plateau United have struggled on the road in recent times but have enough quality to beat their hosts.
